Has anyone any experience with Author Literary Agents or Mr.John Havergal?

Contact from http://www.jbwb.co.uk/ukagentsa_l.htm:
John Havergal, 53 Talbot Road, Highgate, London N6 4QX. Tel: 020 8341 0442/07989 318245 (mobile). Fax: 020 8341 0442. Email: agile@authors.co.uk

I searched "John Havergal" on amazon.co.uk and had zero results. P&E didn't yield any results.

Some reject statistics here:
http://www.litmatch.net/Literary-Agency-Info.asp?agcy_id=596

Their website is not up:
http://www.authors.co.uk/

Page 2 of google seems to yield more listing but no results of book sale.

I'd love to know more about this agent too since he made a request. Unfortunately, there's no information whatsoever on the net.

I've never heard of this guy. He's new, which isn't an instant "remove from consideration", but I can't confirm his legitimacy. Until someone can confirm it, I would hold off on contacting him.

He's not new. I've been getting questions about him since 2006. According to the 2008 Screenwriter's Handbook (http://books.google.com/books?id=98F5AYzEvosC&pg=PA156&lpg=PA156&dq=%22john+havergal%22+agent&source=bl&ots=CXkAIhfP3R&sig=bHuCh43-x5z6xfZ2pY6TYovdxb8&hl=en&ei=5kiuTJnYHYOBlAfE_tyYBQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=7&ved=0CCoQ6AEwBjgK#v=onepage&q&f=false), the agency was founded in 1997.

Other than a bunch of online and market guide listings, a websearch turns up nothing. He has a LinkedIn profile (http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/john-havergal/12/5aa/879) that also lists him as the owner of Blackberry Studio Artists Agents," but a search on that doesn't turn up any info either.

The fact that an agent has been around for well over a decade, and no information can be found about him online, is not a good sign (to put it mildly). Not all agents seek the limelight, but a successful agent will usually have a bigger Internet footprint.

FWIW, the LinkedIn profile given above now lists him as Acclaim Direct Marketing, with no mention of literary agent past or present.
