I googled this and couldn't find the specific names for manufacturing and selling Meth, and possession? And the degrees of those charges. If someone is booked.

Thanks,
Jane

I Googled the Indiana Penal Code (I assume your story takes place in Indiana), The State doesn't have their laws online like other states do. I'd suggest one of two routes to take. Call your state police information number, and ask them for help. Or, use the wording from New York's penal law (http://ypdcrime.com/penal.law/article220.htm). It won't be appreciably different.

RJK,

Thank you very much. In Indiana they usually charge As felonies, a through d, on drug charges. Is that the same as degrees? Or is it in the degree and a felony?
Thanks
Jane

Are you talking federal (ie., DEA) or state charges? If federal, I can help you... :)

If this doesn't work, contact your local District Attorney's Office.

I know possession of precursors is a very real charge. People get arrested for it all the time around here. I'd have to comb the newspaper for other charges, though.

Criminal precedure law pertains to how police and courts handle criminals. You need to find the Indiana Penal law. As I mentioned above, using New York's Penal law will be close enough for your story if you're careful in how you word it.
