Nathan announced on his blog that he wrote a middle-grade science fiction novel, which he then submitted to agents. He was signed by Catherine Drayton at Inkwell, and the novel has now been accepted for publication! I'm very happy for him - his posts are always so kind, helpful and interesting that the phrase "It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!" feels completely apt. Many congratulations, Nathan!

That's cool. I'd always had him down as one of the good guys.

Thanks so much, everyone!! I really really appreciate it.

(Now if I could just find some time to catch up with the Ask an Agent thread..... Sorry for the delay there.)
Let's see: full time agent, new author, daily blogger, recently married...

Sure, you've got plenty of spare time. You've got plenty to answer for, buddy. And how anybody who has rejected 75% of the members of this forum remains so popular is beyond me. Things are going to have to change around here.

I wimped out when you came to Atlanta a couple years ago and a couple other AW'ers went to meet you. To think, I could have met a Real SF Author! Congratulations!
