Sassafras. It reminds me of making sassafras tea (tastes like root beer) while at Boy Scout camp in 1968.

Sunset. The most beautiful time of day. I like to think that when children go to Heaven they get to paint the sunsets.

Spelunking. Writing is a way to go spelunking through your soul

Inconceivable!
Mostly because everytime I hear it, I have the urge to say, "You keep using that word! I don't think it means what you think it does." And then laugh like a madman.

Belly.

Because it's fun to say and bellies are cooler than tummies and stomachs.

Evil, because I hope to be one day. Oh, wrong answer.

Serendipity: It slithers off your tongue and what an interesting idea!

I rather enjoy saying, "dammit" sometimes especially when I can add it to the end of a short sentence like:

"I'm out of coffee again, dammit!"

My 19 yo son came up with this one last week. He told us it was an absolutely "splendiferous" day.

I'm clearly out of date on my Buffett-ese. Back to the language lab!

Oh - the word: coquelicot (French for 'poppy'). Impossible to say with a scowl!

I had an umpire come up to me one time after I let everyone hear my favorite word (at the top of my lungs) and he said to me "The only time I like to hear that word is when I'm doing it." I told him "I like to hear, say, and do that word all the time" He threw me out of the game.

That one's great because you can use it as a noun or a verb, you can turn it into an adjective or adverb, or an expression of wonder, and you can even stick it in the middle of some other word, like abso-farkin-lutely or Okla-farkin-homa. It's the most useful word in the English language sometimes.

Other words I like are:

Cornucopia
Plethora
Shenanigans

Can't help but think of the sweet smell of a magnolia tree, when I see
that word--though it's meaning is related to speaking in or characterized
by a high-flown often bombastic style or manner.

I had a lit professor once who called my term paper, magniloquent--I thought it was a compliment, until I went home and looked the word up:cry: I still got an A in the class :wag:
