I wonder if it's a fruit or a nut?

I guess Cherries, RG....

I'm partial to the tropical ones, high in fat content, myself.

speaking of...

I did not know until just recently that pistachios were the lowest fat content of any nut.

Not to mention the calories you burn getting the difficult ones open...

really? Pistachios are one of my favorites. I like the red ones, yeah I know they're not any different, but still.....

I like macadamia nuts, and almonds...cashews. Brazil nuts are good too.

I'm just fond of nuts, in general.

haven't really found any I don't like.

One of the things i used to look forward to as a little kid was the bowl of mixed nuts my gram would put out during the holiday season. They were all in shells, but she'd put a nutcracker out, too.

I may have to do that, this year, not only for the nuts but just to keep her memory going.

That's one of my favorite memories too. We'd have a big bowl of mixed nuts and a little bowl beside it for the shells, and the nutcracker too. We actually had a wooden nutcracker that looked like a toy soldier from The Nutcracker but it sucked, so we usually just used the nothing-fancy metal one.

Creepy and wrong.
Me being always the classy one, I'd take them out onto the front porch, which was concrete back then, and whack them with a hammer. We had a nutcracker but I never had the knack of it.

I like most nuts too. Including the ones I've met here.

:D

One of my grandmothers kept one out year round with the little metal nutcracker thing. My grandfather and I used to play restaurant with them. During the holidays a bowl of round candies would appear - I think the stores call it Old Fashioned Holiday Mix or some such - but you couldn't eat the candy - it was all stuck together. And ribbon candy, she used to put out ribbon candy, which was always fresh and yummy.
