I need to share this because it bugged the hell out of me.

At my family do last weekend, I ran into my cousin, who is assistant director of the screen-writers guild. I had a winge to him about how NZ publishers only want to publish books about NZ.

He informed me that the reason for this was because the publishers can get a government grant for books about nz, and thus make more money.

They don't give a rats ass about books or a good story. They just want their money.

Sorry, that really, pissed me off.

Guys! I had... an adventure!

DirecTV guy puts ladder against house.
Ladder scares Bella (dog)
Bella pulls her chain out of the ground, runs for her life down the road
DirecTV guy comes in to tell me of these happenings.
I get my brother and we search for dog.
We find dog at the creek, her chain tangled around some boulders, hiding behind even more boulders, with a cut foot and no desire to leave her hiding place.
But I got her home.
I am proud.

Isn't that exciting? I deserve cinnamon toast as a reward.
