Maybe I should have worn one of those old-timey bathing suits, the kind that's a little dress with matching bloomers. I'm probably scaring folks off.

We did our five miles, interrupted with our first-ever geocaching success. People hide things entirely too well. Mr. Maryn's jeans have both grass and berry stains on the knees, and I got my hair hung up in the brush and had to get help freeing myself. But I got a nice little bouncy ball!

Maryn, who could, of course, have simply bought the ball for fifty cents

Of course there are! Welcome Cella! Welcome Rekirts!

I'm having red wine. Anyone else? I also have all the ingredients to make Caesars, pina coladas, and pretty much anything else. What will you be having?

:)

I like rum drinks. :)

I'm trying not to think about the fact that I got absolutely nothing done this weekend. PEople have this idea we should hang out with them. ;)

Morning, Komnena.

Oddly enough, nobody thinks we should hang out with them. We really don't socialize as a couple at all, and neither of us has a large circle of friends. We joke that if it weren't for one another, we'd be those crazed loners who eventually go on killing sprees, to the surprise of their neighbors, who'd tell reporters we were quiet and kept to ourselves.

Maryn, quiet and keeping to herself

We have these friends whose house stinks really really bad and they keep inviting us over. If I wasn't so lazy I'd offer to cook and invite them over here...

*goes to get cookbook*

Cella-trying to be a better friend. :)

Cute doggie, Cella.

Maryn: sometimes I feel like we're like that too---one person shy of a crazed cat person loner with 62,000 empty egg cartons where the kitchen table should be. But we really do have separate social circles...and they seldom intersect. I have many writer friends, thanks to my crazy vibrant writing circle of close to 300 people. But mostly, the two of us enjoy home alone, with each other, over most everything else.

Yes, Trish needs to get her butt in gear. I had unexpected weekend company (we had a blast) but it gobbled up much of my writing time.

By the end of the week Chapter 11 will be posted. There, now that I've said it, I don't have much choice but to deliver on it.

AWW! I sometimes call her SuggaBoo, cuz she's the most cuddly dog in the world.

She's a bulldog mix. Yours?

Ooooo, new people!

*goes to start making cookies and foofy drinks.*

We're the people who always invite people over for dinner and cookouts. Most of the time it's just one or two families/couples over. Nothing fancy though.

It's been a very busy weekend though it feels like I barely scratched the surface. I'm planning out our Halloween decorations and Princess wants to help. We're doing an enormous web for the front yard, complete with moving spider.

Elaine, getting into the holiday spirit.

Halloween is absolutely my favorite holiday. Dang it, why don't we go anywhere requiring a costume?

Maryn, who'd make something kick-ass

Haha, Stew...you've been poked!

Kevin, who seriously took over a year to write chapter 10. (-;

Well...the publisher who sadly rejected my Sebastian's Poet said that if I submit something else she'll put it at the top of the pile. I feel that this is good. She had S.P. on the top of her 2010 publication list, but the committee shot it down. She would like to put my next submission at the top of the pile and check it out. So...I will be polishing again. Sigh...it's always the same. SO CLOSE...yet so very far away. But her support of S.P. has meant the world to me...makes me want to continue.
