Guilty Pleasures

my guilty pleasures are those old paperback gothic romances. You know the ones with the woman on the cover (in front of a big old house) running while looking over her shoulder.

They're usually titled something like "castle midnight" or "don't look behind you" or (my favorite) "Along a Dark Path."

I have so many and I have to find them at old used bookstores or thrift shops but they are my absolute fave.

I have seen An Affair to Remember so many times I can perform the whole thing as a deranged soliloquy.

Books...hmm, I don't feel too guilty about any of those.

Oh, and I love Vegemite even though it makes most Americans recoil in horror. So I eat it far, far away from prying eyes.

Anne Rice. I didn't LOVE all her books, but I liked most of them. I've read all her books except for the Sleeping Beauty erotic trilogy. I'll read them after I'm 18, so I don't get told off for buying them at the bookstore. Especially with the current covers.

I'm not sure I have any pleasures I'm guilty of... I mean, I openly eat bacon and creamcheese sammiches, and creampuffs with nutella.

Starship Troopers might qualify, I suppose.

Hair metal? I do love me some Skid Row and Motley Crue.

Believe it or not, writing is my one guilty pleasure.

The pack I run with is not what you would call a "literary" crowd. As a matter of fact, if I told them any of my friends, co-workers or daily acquaintances that I write, they would think I was joking around and flat out not believe me.

Well, for a guy his age, he's not that bad. (stayed hotter than Axl Rose did, that's for sure. eek!)
