Textbook Publishing Resources.

I'm interviewing for a job at a book production company and I haven't really been able to find out much about what goes on in the process overall. Does anyone know of any book publishing groups or message boards or general resources out there (something similar to AW, but more geared to books)?

Production, but anything would be useful. I'm trying to get a sense of the industry as a whole (my background is all in magazine publishing – similar but not congruent).
