Here's a writing exercise I found insightful, maybe you will too.
You were the Protagonist of the greatest novel ever written. Sneaky plots, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, true luv... the last few years or months of your life had it all. Unfortunately, the day after your book ended you tripped and hit your head on a rock, and now you have amnesia. Your therapist has given you a journal, where you are supposed to write down any vague impressions of your life. You need to hurry up and get your memory back, because you struggled through so much to earn your reward at the end of the story, you want to go home and enjoy it - but what exactly was the reward, and where is home?!?
