I think many people here will know of the American physicist Richard Feynman, but may not have seen or read his lectures. Bill Gates has tracked down the rights and made the lectures viewable at the Microsoft Research web site.
Feynman is a hero of mine, and I'm really excited about this project. Feynman took his subject and talked about it with passion and deep understanding, with the ability to make it fascinating and involving for his audience. The topics of the lectures are:
1. Law of Gravitation - An Example of Physical Law
2. The Relation of Mathematics and Physics
3. The Great Conservation Principles
4. Symmetry in Physical Law
5. The Distinction of Past and Future
6. Probability and Uncertainty - The Quantum Mechanical View of Nature
7. Seeking New Laws
The site may be slow to load. It requires the installation of a browser add-on called Microsoft Silverlight to view the lectures.
