I really enjoyed Herman Wouk's This is My God. Can anyone reccommend another, similar book I might enjoy--a work that provides a kind of Jewish apologetics and that would be of interest to a gentile wishing to learn more about Judaism?

Not exactly what you asked for: it's a sort of dictionary. Leo Rosten, The Joys of Yiddish, gives a peek into American Jewish culture.
