Text message plans?

Does anybody know anything about those sites that say that you can send text messages free from anywhere? I'm freaking out a little about my phone plan. It's prepaid, and was loaded with 10 dollars two weeks ago. Today I found out that I only have 1 minute left on it... I didn't talk THAT much on it!

So I'm just sending text messages because that's cheaper than calling for 33 cents per minute. >.<

Just keep the phone charged. Remember, even if you have no minutes, it will still call 911.

(Just don't use that to ask the dispatcher what time it is, or for directions to your "hookups" house.)

Verizon unlimited. I never have to think about it. I'm sure they were counting on that.
