I'm new to this thread (goals and accomplishements), so here goes.
Please wish me luck yet again!
I sent out a multiple submission about a month ago, and after 4 weeks, (and some initial rejections) I have eight lit agents who requested to see the full ms.
One agency actually emailed that they were enjoying reading it and would get back to me shortly. Is that a good sign? I usually don't hear anything after the confirmation that it arrived....I've never had anyone email me back a second time to let me know they were enjoying it!
My goals are just to write from my passion, giving life to characters that just come from deep inside me and who, in their travels, have great adventures. I always keep up with the market by reading lots of genres too.
And I just keep writing and hoping and working on the craft of writing.
(Sigh!) I just never give up hope and try to be in the moment and have faith.
I wish everyone out there the best, and hope there's always room for one more author to fine an excellent agent who believes in his or her work, and room for one more novel to be read by new readers!
