I dont want to use script notes as I only use this for historical information that fit scenes and I can refer back to when I flesh out. But is there anywhere on FD8 where I can jot down ideas for use later or maybe not at all, i.e the contents of my jotter pad that I carry everywhere in the rare event that I have a good idea.

Unfortunately, no.

Your best option is to have a pseudo-script named Jottings.fdx or something like that. You can open it and write all sorts of little scenes and actions and bits of dialogue. You can separate them by using several hyphens or asterisks or equals signs.

You can flip back and forth and use copy-and-paste.

What I really suggest, though, is that you download the FREE Keynote tabbed-notebook program and use it to organize all kinds of notes.
