My manuscript is set in the wild west, so I'm tempted to use a legable, but fun, wild-west themed font for the title on the coversheet. Would this be unprofessional, or should I go for it?

Oh I SO second this...but the fonts will work if you include glitter and lots of Mcdonald coupons...

No. Never.

I did use a somewhat stylish typeface (Tahoma) on my cover sheet and my agent likes it, but I'm a graphic designer and was able to do so with discretion and understatement. Wild west type, noooooo...

Aside from the "amateur" concern, don't forget that fonts do NOT translate on everyone's computer/e-mail if they don't have that font on their system. You want your manuscript to be readable, not turned into a bunch of squares and lines.
