View Full Version : Cashing in my man card v. 3: Miley Cyrus

James81

My kids watch her show sometimes on TV.

The shame? I'll watch it sometimes even when they aren't there. Oh, and I like her music.

Somebody punch me in the face plz.

This doesn't erase the sin of listening to (and kinda liking) Miley Cyrus music, but I *do* love all types of music. I'll listen to Metallica and then turn around and put a country CD in.

Have you considered euthanasia?

Relinquish your man card now and come back 10 years later for it, after you've spent some hard labor at the WWF training camp and doing dirty jobs with Mike Rowe.

Miley Cyrus? Are you fraking kidding me?

James, I think I speak for everyone when I say "whatever small measure of credibility you had, is now gone."

I'll pull out my parent card because it's so handy in situations like this one. I took Fizzette (6 yrs old) to the Miley Cyrus movie. Fizzette loved it, and I loved seeing her love it. And it didn't suck.

One advantage of using the parent card--euthanasia will leave children fatherless, and the genes have already been passed...

What Fizz said.

James, you are not weakening your man card. You're adding cred to your "Dad" card. Connect with them any way you can. Any positive connection is worth it, even Miley/Hannah/Mullethead's Kid.

Both make the baby Jesus cry.

I agree insofar as the archaic definition of awe goes: To inspire dread. To make grown men bleed from the ears, and to make dogs go hide under the porch.

Seriously, that is one God awful song.

I just listened to it. On purpose. Just to hear for myself.

I hope that one day my ears stop bleeding...

The parent card can only save you so many times. Be careful, and guard your man card with your jewels cautiously.

But that parent card is good for life where the kids are concerned, and it can carry a man through to a point in his life where he pulls his pants up past his solarplexus, makes right turns from the fast lane when he sees a King's Table Buffet, gets good at gumming the corn off the cob, and keeps the cataracts because they are permanent beer goggles. In other words, it carries him until the man card is only good for things that no longer work anyway, or for things that have slipped in importance behind keeping breathing and not falling down.

Yeah. I kind of like the lyrics. I thought her voice was fascinating the first time I heard her. After a while it just sounded really really nasal.

Going through life fat drunk and stupid is no way to live, but it beats not having your man card.
