Try not to leave a lever-arch file open on the settee if it's turned to the chapter of your manuscript involving man-on-man...

...er...

Highlight to view rude bit: ...fellatio. End of rude bit.

That is all. :D

Now he'll think I'm a perv.

Now he'll think I'm a perv.
And you don't want him knowing the real you?

When you say 'the real you', to which of my thirty-seven personalities do you refer?

Ken

... good to hear you're working on a manuscript.

Hark at Ken, being all writerly and sensible in Office Party of all places.

Any of them (apart from that one who called the other week. She's just scary)

Was he hot?

He had tattoos. He was vaguely do-able if it was in the dark or you were facing away from him.

I can't believe I said that.

Oh wait, yes I can.

Note to self: don't get this thread locked.

Ken

He was vaguely do-able if ... you were facing away from him.

... if he was entertained by the male/male passage he might prefer doing it in this manner.

Opps. I'm slipping here. Gotta get back in character and adopt my prim and proper persona. :-I

And now without further ado I will depart from this thread and remain outraged by its presence whilst it remains on the message board.

;-)

That reads like an exerpt from Cray's journal.

Gee, what are the odds?

I kid, I kid.

Come to think of it, he did have a vague odour of turnips about him.

7 hours late, I turn up to the thread.

All the funny comments are taken and someone's emptied the fridge of booze. :(

scarletpeaches

You could always ask to read the chapter in question?

Oh wait. You have.

*cough*

I mean, yes I have.

I love a woman who uses the word 'egregious'.

sorry, Adam, but you missed one:

... somebody in this comedy fest has got to play the straight man ;-)

Especially where sparklepeaches novels are concerned...

Ken
06-22-2009, 11:33 PM
on my way to dictionary.com look up what 'egregious' (gulp gulp) means ...

yep; suppose it was :-(

scarletpeaches

The rep point comment Adzmodeus just sent me was most egregious.

bettielee
06-22-2009, 11:40 PM
I think it egregious I didn't get a rep point for pointing out his missing the best joke of the bunch...

and Ken's was incomprehensible, I don't know how close to egregious that is, though.

by the way, what the heck is a decibal meter, and why is sparklepeaches having it installed?

Is it to watch the hotness in her room? Cuz that could be a problem, if it is where she writes....

scarletpeaches

It's to measure the noise from my downstairs neighbour.

No that's not a euphemism for my ladycake.

Ken
06-22-2009, 11:45 PM
... not curious at all to know what Adz rep said. Not one bit. Not in the least.

So what'd it say?

ps Bettielee. I wrote the rep I sent to you just now, backwards. So just face the other way when you read it and you'll be able to make it out just fine ;-)

gosh dang-it, i'm still waiting for the recap on the other thread! I posted you what i would have done, Personally i thought the imagery was awesome if you picture your neighbor having to deal with a 140 DB air raid siren when they want to listen to their music loud

I'll just invite you round to drive her mad with all your ideas, then she might move out!
