So if a cop shoots another cop in what appears to be a mistake and in the line of duty, who will do the investigation? Precinct homicide, IAD rats, who?

Thanks, I am aware of the current situ--you could not live here in the NYC area and not know about it. Regrettably, there's not a lot of discussion regarding policy or regulations behind the investigation, only a lot of rehash of the shooting itself and the machination of the DA's office.
