When I'm driving, I stay awake by looking at the signs. (Or by drinking coffee). Sometimes I catch interesting ones.

This one makes me wish I'd brought my camera. It was on the marquee sign of a taco place:

"Eat here or we'll both starve."

Seen any funny (or not so funny) signs?

Didn't have a camera on hand -- I drove past a take-out joint a while back. It's called King Tut's Hut.

On the window, this slogan: Toot -n- Come In.

A car repair place near where I live has had the same sign for many years advertising their specialty in radiator service: Best place in St. Pete to take a leak!

I went there once to use their restroom, but they said I had to be a customer.

In Oakland(?), CA, there's a street named "A Street". Signs on the freeway say "A Street Downtown". I always read that literally - it's a street downtown, but we're not going to tell you the name. :D

A dozen years back, there was a knick-knack shop with a chalkboard sign out front. The owner put various aphorisms on it.

A mate of mine reported the following chalkwritten gem:

"I'm not getting married again. I'm just going to find a woman I hate and give her my house."

Must be one of those special new toilets that blow hot air toward your butt when you're done doing your business.

:D There needs to be a t-shirt for that. The care package for the recently divorced. Ought to fly off the shelves.

We have this nutty church in the town that I work for....

Last week - the sign said, "Don't make me come down there! -God"

And this week it read- "I'm already up there. -You know who"

(shivers)

We used to have an Ed's BBQ and Taxidermy.

Uh... I don't think I want to eat there.

There was a realtor place down the street that always had funky signs out front. One of my favorites read, "If you lived in your car, you'd be home by now."

When we went to the Outer Banks (NC) there was this restaraunt (I think it was called "Bob's" or something like that) that had a sign that said "Eat and get the hell out."

My husband and I passed a home in Oregon that had a bunch of playground equipment in the yard and a large sign that said "KIDS FOR SALE" with a phone number beneath it.

It took us a moment to realize the sign was in a small paddock full of goats.

In nearby Park Rapids, Minnesota, there is a funeral home run by the Cease family. There is a large "Cease" sign in front.

I've seen lots of "unattended kids" signs but the best one so far was:

"Unattended children will be given Red Bull and free puppies"

Kind of stupid, but my hometown has a street called Dwight Way. Every now and again, someone would past over the street sign below (which identified the street than ran 90 degrees), Dwong Way.

And I won't tell what we used to do to the signs for Coit Tower in San Francisco...

Probably something similar to what we used to do for the signs for Condong in Australia.

With nods to the "Got Milk?" campaign, I've seen signs in rural Illinois that say "Got Mulch?"

I think I've seen that somewhere before...
