Was very happy to get my first review in a print magazine.
"Dirty Linen" is a well known folk music magazine. They review only a handful of books, compared to music recordings, so I feel really lucky to be included in the new issue.
Can't link to it yet (issue is July-August, just out, not yet on web.)
It was a good review which made me laugh. For the first time, a reviewer (male, by the way) has mentioned a striking gender difference in the music world:
"... There are lots of guys-and-guitar books, and I even spotted a hardcover about some guy and his new French horn...Kilpatrick's not so concerned with technique and hardware, like most guys with their guitars. To her, both music and the accordion are social instruments...."
