I like carnations. But I would like to be a pineapple plant. Everyone thinks pineapples grow in trees, but in fact they grow on the ground. Confusion is fun.

My friend once ate poisonous hemlock on an AP Biology field trip, because he thought it was a wild carrot. It tasted OK, but he found getting his stomach pumped to be unpleasant.

A dandelion. Such a wonderfully tenacious and resilient flower.

Here in Kansas we have a type of lovely vegetation that is rose-like and wonderful to look at. It invades every other plant's space, and eventually chokes them out and kills them. Despite it's beauty, it has been officially deemed a noxious weed.

It's a Bishop of LLandaff Dahlia. I never really got the appeal of flowers until I saw it. You can't tell from the pic, but the stem and leaves are so dark, they look black, and then with the bright red flower on top it creates the perfect blend of mystery and beauty.
