View Full Version : So What is Going On?

Various people across various threads have commented on how weird, screwed up, and generally odd things have been lately.

Some are blaming Mercury in retrograde. Others the full moon.

What's your best theory?

... don't think things are any weirder than usual.
Rather suspect the bar for normalacy has been raised :-(

Rolling Thunder.

This must be it. He's been conspicuously absent and all.

It always happens this time of year. And if you'd ask the same question any other time of the year, I'd offer the same excuse. :)

I've been constipated for several days.

Though--after further thought--this may be a result of Rolling Thunder, as well...

Where's Falstaff! Where? I don't see him. He'd be hard to miss. Where is he?

Yes, this would be my guess, too.

Where is Thunder Boy lately? I miss having him around to make fun of.

Those flowers in your avatar make such a lovely pattern. I think I see Jesus. Or, at the very least, his feet.

I think it's my fault. Things become weird whenever I join a board.

Like this other forum I joined... things became weird shortly after I joined, and then became normal soon after I took a break for a time.

I dunno about anyone else, but RL is a pain in the ass. The boss has a conference call with the new owners Friday, and he's having anxiety attacks because we haven't sold much in six months and he thinks they may be thinking about closing our branch. I already called all my buddies in the business in this area, and nobody's hiring; they're all worried about their own jobs because they don't have any work either.

How the hell is a person supposed to write under these conditions. I think I need to skip RL for a few years, do some writing, and then come back when the economy isn't tanking.

To quote Douglas Adams:

"There is a theory which states that if anyone were ever to discover exactly what the universe is and what it is for, it would immediately disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and incomprehensible.

There is another theory which atates that this has in fact already occurred."

Okay, 'fess up. Which one of y'all figured it out? :D

I've never seen one of those on a paper place mat at a Chinese restaurant.

But I have crayoned them in. Usually next to the Year of the Rooster.
