Grapes is Great.

He really is the best.

Anyone watching the hockey game on CBC knows what I'm talking about. I don't know if U.S.A. gets Grapes and Ron or not? Grapes just honoured a Canadian Soldier who was killed this week. Don Cherry breaks my heart whenever he pays tribute to our fallen soldiers. He's a good egg, our Grapes. I love him for a lot of reasons...but his patriotism really hits home for me. His passion for the loss of young lives really hits home.

I am on the 401 highway (Highway of Heroes) when the soldiers are brought from CFB Trenton to Toronto. I see every cavalcade. Cars stopped all along the highway. The overpasses filled to capacity with firetrucks and civilians. It's really breathtaking and emotional to see it.



Grapes always stops his hockey talk to pay tribute to our fallen soldiers and he always breaks down. He's a special guy.
