In a very close, 116-person vote, this week, we lose BlueTexas.

You've been an excellent competitor with a unique style, and we'll miss your entries.

Congrats to the remaining three finalists: DJP, William Haskins, and firehorse.

Wow, that was fast! Thanks, VoteCounter and Jenna.

Kira - You're an amazing writer, and I look forward to reading more of your work - here, by e-mail and, of course, on bookstore shelves.. It's too bad we have to lose anyone; in my mind, you're right there with us. :Hug2:

Side note: Only 116 votes? ((sigh)) You can lead a horse to water...

Jenna, is it okay if we start voting more than once?

Kira, I am truly disappointed to see you go. I enjoyed your stories and hoped that you and William would go toe to toe for the Grand Prize. You will be posting in the JFF thread won't you? :Hug2:

Congrats! to the remaining finalists.

Big hugs to the Vote Counter and Jenna for posting results, # of voters, and the theme so quickly.

So in other words, "Congrats to the finalists, I hoped none of you would be in it"? Nice.

What are you saying here, Three? That's not at all what I was saying.

Aw, Kira, you know I'm a big fan of your writing. (And besides, we've been published in a book together! That was cool.) Much continued success to you! :)

Hearty congratulations to the finalists!!!! Wow, nail biting time now. It's getting down to the wire. Good luck! :)

Thanks for all the kind words, guys.

Honestly, Joanne and I discussed topics that would knock us of the running in the very beginning of the contest. Humor was one of the ones I knew would be the end of me, so I'm not surprised. I did the best I could, and that's all I can do, so I'm not too bummed out. I haven't been writing near as long as the final three, anyway--I didn't expect to be in this contest at all.

Now, I can start lengthening some of these entries to send them out, and work on my novel again. And Mac, I can give your prompts more attention now :)

Thanks for all the support, votes and lovely comments you guys have sent me throughout this contest. You guys have given me the confidence to believe I can write, something I wasn't sure of two months ago, and that's a valuable thing.

Congrats to the final three...
