I know James just had LASIK done, which I would love to do at some point, but I'm happy that I can see right now.
A week ago Wednesday, I went to the eye doctor. My vision was getting pretty blurry. Similar to a case of cornea irritation I had several years back. That and I just had a baby, which can really mess with your vision.
So she, examines my eyes. My prescription's WAY off. She does the orange dye so she can see how bad my eyes really are.
I have cornea irritation to the point the skin on my corneas is cracked and they are swollen, which is the reason everything is so blurry. She immediately prescribes antibiotic/steroid eye drops to handle any possible infection and reduce the swelling. I'm also supposed to moisturize my eyes constantly.
Wednesday, I went back and she says the worst of it is healed up, but there is still some dryness that I am battling. She says to continue to heavily moisturize and use the nighttime ointment (goop) to keep me moist.
She reluctantly lets me have contacts, but tells me to use them sparingly. However, today, I am wearing my contacts, putting drops in constantly, and I've been pretty comfortable in them all day.
After not being able to wear them all pregnancy, I'm happy to not have to wear my glasses all the time. Yay!
