Yeah. He grew a beard and decided he was a rapper.

NO, JOAQUIN, NO!

Act. Look hot. It's what you do best.

Oh Wack, be merciful to me, a sinner.

I'm hoping it's an elaborate hoax. But yes, he quit acting for the rap game, only he looks more like MC Grizzly Adams these days.

If I posted my entire Wack-stash, MacCannister would banninate me.

Just take it as read that he was hot, then not, and tell me whether or not I'm merciful. :D

There, there.

Maybe someday - some wondrous day - the inner hottie will be revealed once more.

Russell Crowe doesn't do rap, neither does Colin Farrell, my smexy files will survive Joaquin's rap loopification.

"And this day's LAWLESSNESS is how you repay me?"LOL. He was brilliant in that role.

That's why I'm thinking, nah! It's a publicity stunt.

Fuzzy!Joaquin is a tragedy.

He looked damn good as Commodus, I gotta say.

He looks a lot like the guy I gave a quarter to on the corner of the freeway this morning.

A guillotine is merciful . . .

But the end result is not always pretty.

He will come back to us.

Mark my words, my friends: Joaquin will come back.

He must.

Everyone thought Garth Brooks had lost it when he released an album outta nowhere as 'Chris Gaines' (or was it Raines? I can't remember.)... and it turned out it was supposed to be a simultaneous release of a movie that 'Chris Whateverhisnamewas' did the soundtrack for and the soundtrack. Only no one told Garth's people they'd decided not to release the movie.

Hopefully it's something equally redeeming for Joaquin, 'cause this 'new him' sux.

I watched the clip of him with Letterman...there's no way it wasn't staged. I mean, he just sat there taking it like he was too drunk, drugged or stupid for words. I doubt Letterman for legal reasons would accept the possible liability that could come back on him for making a mockery out of Joaquin.

I so hope you're right.

I pray you are, in fact.

Except for the one time?

I laughed my head off when Letterman said, "Sorry you couldn't be here tonight."

Joaquin transcends all mockery and japery. He must be taken seriously.

There's an option missing:

Yes, you are not merciful.

But Mercy are you ever the peaches!

His hangovers must suck. He probably spends three or four hours in the morning with his head down the Commodus.

Yeah, but the Chris Gaines album is pretty damned awesome.

#2 on the billboard pop albums, and Brooks' ONLY crossover pop hit (Lost in you, #5)

I love that album.

Actually, yeah, it was a pretty good album. I have it here somewhere.

But he DID go a little off the deep end for a while when he was making it. Not quite as far as the Divine Drugged Wack has, but he got a bit loopy...

We fellow Okies... not so much. We thought he'd completely lost his mind. I didn't like the album, but it's not my cuppa. I much preferred his country stuff.
