My husband sings some of the song by Deep Purple to me. Instead of "my woman in Tokyo, she's so good to me", he substitutes the name of our city and sings the rest as is.

Back when we were dating and he used to sing it to me, I was unfamiliar with the song and thought he wrote it for me. Guess you have to give him credit for trying.

Man, this one blew my socks off when I heard it the first time. I was a freshman in college, and naive as hell. Her bitterness is incredibly refreshing. :D

Four and twenty years ago, I come into this life,
the son of a woman and a man who lived in strife.
He was tired of being poor and he wasn't into selling door to door
and he worked like the devil to be more.

A different kind of poverty now upsets me so.
Night after sleepless night, I walk the floor and I want to know- why am I so alone?
