The Character Elimination Exercise (http://writingfiction.suite101.com/article.cfm/fiction_writing_character_elimination_exercise)

I've been doing a lot of articles about creative writing exercises, and this is the first one where I made it up completely on my own (it probably already exists, but I don't know). Any feedback about what to change would be great. If anyone thinks it's not a good prompt, that's fine too (again, any criticism would be fantastic).

I'm going to be running a YA workshop this summer and I want to have different exercises for the kiddies to do. I'm hoping this will work. If it does, thinking up more exercises would be good for me and the kids. Everyone wins!

So what do you guys think? Is it worth anything?

It looks good to me. I'd have a problem with the time limits, but I'm a slow-and-brooding kind of writer* ;) I haven't done many exercises, but if those time limits are common, then I say well done.

* It's plot/story that takes me so long. Slices of life, observations, dialogue, description are much more comfortable for me for SoC.
