Has anyone had any experience with hypergraphia?

In a period starting around this time last year, I filled four composition books (200 pages). This is also around the time I started getting really serious about my writing.

Just checking to make sure I'm not alone. :p

Do you do it because you enjoy it, or because you feel compelled by some inner demon?

And what do you write about? Observations and thoughts, or day-to-day trivia?

Both. It's like "Let's see how many of these I can fill up!"

Some of my stuff is trivial, some of it is observational, and some are passages (even half-chapters) of my novel. For instance, (I'm actually not fully finished with the fourth journal but it's in progress), I have a page dedicated to each episode of the cartoon Kim Possible (80 pages there), and one for each season (4 there, which makes for 85 pages), and passages of my novel which have been about eight pages.

In the last year, I've filled: one spiral notebook 150 pages), three and a half 3" x 5" writing pads (70 pages), and 1 reporter's pad 3 1/2" x 10" (75 pages)

I love my notebooks. They are precious to me, Gollum.
