I am adopting a new kitten this week. She is 5 months old and completely black, except for a tiny snip of white on her nose. Her old owner HATED her, called her 'the devil in a catsuit' because she was so naughty.

I would like to give her a really, really cool name...but can think of nothing. The last cat that I named ended up being called Little Gray...because he is both little and gray. See my problem?

Any suggestions, ideas, thoughts? The winner gets a...well...nothing. Maybe a couple of rep points and a great big THANK YOU on this thread. Deal? Thanks, guys.

Think of dark characters from books or movies. Maybe call the kitty Darth Vader (or Darth Feline or something.)

If you have a dark sense of humor, he might be named "Crispy" or "Well-Done"

Button!

Just kidding. That was the name of my troublesome black cat.

I'd vote for the following:

Medea
Neko
Breakfast (or Lunch or Dinner, makes kids giggle when you tell them the name, and makes grown ups get that look of shock --- like they do when they learn my pet fish's name is Sushi)
Coaltar
Coalheart
Inkheart (Good book series, by the way.)
Nutella (Just because.)
Orlando Bloom (Is this a poll? I got lost.)

I had two black cats in my lifetime. The first was named VELVET and the second was named COSMO SHIVA. They were both great cats, so I have a lot of good memories behind those names.

Tyson Crispy is the name of my MC's friend and mentor. :D He grew up on Holly farms, and then went to Purdue.

He's the one on the cover with the baster-leg combo, a tribute to Planet Terror.

Okay, just called the girls in here, and here are the leading contenders:

Nefferkitty- they loved it!
Pandora
Crispy- my fave so far
Beelzebub- but not if we are trying to give her a fresh start
Expresso
Sparta- the oldest keeps holding up Little Gray and yelling 'we are Sparta!' I don't get it, didn't see the movie.

Thanks, guys, keep 'em coming...lots of good stuff, here, knew you wouldn't let me down!

Kitty Pryde :D
or Shadowcat even :D :D
I had found a stray cat, and named her Anathema (after Anathema Device, a character from Good Omens by Pratchett/Gaiman), and I gave her to the neighbors. When they realized what that meant, they named her Miss Kitty. But anyways, Anathema is a great name for a naughty kitty. Says me.
