What is a poetic weed?

It's a literary allusion to a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson; "The Flower"

The phrase is a complicated metaphor along the lines that just as with flowers, one person's weed is another's poem.

Love it.

I find deadly nightshade particularly adept at the Petrarchan sonnet.
