Just completed latest revision/re-editting of my science/fantasy novel FOLLOW THE RAVEN at 109k words and would like someone(s) to give it a read.

Don't need spellcheck or grammar (unless it's really horrible) but DO want to know if the plot works, do the characters seem real and does the MC overcome shortcomings, and have I kept it interesting.

Thanks in advance and I don't mind tough criticism.

A pall creeps over the world where the believers of Karis spread. Freedom wanes. The Other Worlds become isolated from Midgard. War and pestilence replace peace and prosperity. The fourteen Creators do not interfere with the harmful actions of their children.

Ian’s world crumbles as he is thrust into a strange, magical and dangerous venture. His parents are murdered and he learns his birthright is to undo what the children of the gods have caused. An old and weakened druid gives Ian a magic amulet. Danu, Earth Mother tells Ian to follow her raven messenger to take the amulet and his birth father’s sword to an altar in a cave in the heart of a volcano. That will break the seals, bringing Gimlé into existence and freeing the denizens of Midgard and the Other Worlds. He must avoid those seeking him for a bounty offered by a pagan priestess. He is to fight a monster to reach the Great Oak. He fights his uncle to restore his grandparents to their rightful throne. And he overcomes the priestess’ warriors and an Ice dragon to cross a bridge of slippery ice to reach his ultimate goal.

Ian must believe in the Old Ways, for without belief and faith in one’s abilities, nothing can be accomplished.
