Back in November I was informed that my 22,000 word Masters dissertation had failed - Fairly dramatically - and needed to be done again.

I therefore spent three months writing another one. I handed it in in March.

I was told yesterday that - although the result still has to be made official by the Head of School and University Central Committee - this one has passed.

Unofficially, I will therefore graduate this July.

The result doesn't become official until later this month, so I'm only having a quiet celebration.

Enjoy :)

Guests will find beer on the table by the stereo, lager to the left, ale to the right, cider in Somerset

May we begin calling you Master Scarf now, or do we have to wait until July?

I'll be off to Somerset for the cider, then :)

Good work. And you got it in only two goes. I'm impressed. One of my coworkers had to redo his four times.

Way2go and congrats. I'm sure the folks who didn't pass the first one were let go, due to not being too smart! :) Your success calls for :Cake:!

Thank you all very much.

I'm going to find a job now and save up for PhD.

Maryn, I think I'll go for 'Captain Scarf. MA'

Mead is on the little side table next to the jelly babies
