So!

I just got back from the midnight Wolverine thingy.

BLEH, I say!

BLEH!

Not enough Gambit, the plot was all over the place and meh, the ending was garble and I didn't like it much at all.

BUT!

Going to the theater was STILL worth it!

Cause I saw this trailer!

http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/district9/large.html

At first, I was like, "Oh what is this?"

And then I was like, "HOLY FFING S! A SCI-FI FILM THAT IS ORIGINAL, NOT A HORROR FILM, AND ACTUALLY DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH STAR WARS OR STAR TREK AND IS NOT A REMAKE!!!!!!!!!"

Yes. That is exactly what I said. People who were there to see Wolverine were all like, "Grr, be quiet, strange boy with Tourettes syndrome!"

And I threw popcorn at them.

Anywho!

From what I can tell...its a movie that is...about things...that happen...to people.

Sounds awesome.

Also, Peter Jackson is attached to it...that man does nothing but make movie gold through liberal ablication of Jacksiononum, which made for the most awesome depiction of little men throwing rings into volcanos and the ONLY filming of the dreaded Tentacle Intestines in the forgotten classic of awesome movies:

Anywho...

Um...

Distric 9 looks awesome.

Anyone else get a Half Life 2 vibe from it?

Can't watch the trailer since I'm running Linux and haven't bothered to install a quicktime plugin.

But it sounds intriguing, thanks for the heads-up. I'll keep my eyeballs peeled.
