As one who knows the near-orgasmic condition of paying off a debt, I salute you.

Now... did you learn anything from all the schoolin?

Yay! Congrats! I'm definitely jealous! :)

One day I'll know what that feels like too. *goes back to finishing my can of tuna* *sigh*

(not that there's anything wrong with tuna)

How terrific is that? Not only is someone we know free from a major debt at long last, but someone we know is responsible enough to pay off a student loan instead of disappearing on it, filing for bankruptcy, or otherwise dodging obligations.

I'm buying you a drink!

Maryn, thinking later in the day would be good

:) Apparently, since I got a job on the strength of it -- just passed 7 years here. (wow, it doesn't seem that long...)

Hope it goes quickly for y'all who are still working at it. But for now enjoy the party...

Woohoo! Congratulations. That's fabulous.

When I did that, I did something that I still think was downright brilliant.

I kept on depositing the same amount of money I'd been putting on loan payments into my savings account. It made saving almost painless.

Yep, definitely. There's always another goal to budget/save for.
