So, I'm watching RENO 911 on Comedy Central.
I rarely watch it, but when I do, I laugh my ass off.
There is something to this 'new' type of presentation of T.V.. I guess I call it a Reality Hybrid.
It is semi-scripted and presented with an amateurish cinematography that at least for me makes it feel 'real'.
So, this real feeling somehow amplifies my 'suspense of disbelief' with the net effect of making it funnier.
What do you think?
Why is it funny (or not funny) to you?
How about other types of movies like this: Blair Witch Project, Cloverfield, etc?
Do you see these types of shows as an evolution of the movie/story telling art?
As with any evolution, are some of us just 'behind the times' in appreciating this new artform.
