Well, not really. I started writing this story yesterday, and today I'm trying to finish it but can't get back into the voice I had yesterday... and my story is due today. Bah.

Any suggestions for slugging through this drivel?

It may sound silly, but read what you have, and mentally "hear" it in the voice of an actor or character.

Just for example, Capt. Jack Sparrow. That's a distinct voice.

Imagine hearing him read your story aloud, then let him take it from there.

(crazy, but it can work.)
