We don't have a sports thread so here I am. I have my space suit on in case the mods want to beam me elsewhere.

They're whoring the new stadium as I write this.

$800,000,000.00 of our money going to the richest SOBs in the world to build a monument to greed. It wouldn't bother me so much if I could afford to go to a game. Why did the taxpayers pay for this again?

Now they're bringing in old players so "the ghosts" will follow them across the street.

I'll never darken it's door.

... it's hoped that new stadium will create enough revenue to make up for the cost of rebuilding. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen. I've personally lost all interest in baseball due to all the steroids. Who wants to watch a bunch of lying, cheating, druggies play ball?

I like the new stadium. I liked the old one better, but at least this one won't come off in chunks to attempt to kill the fans.

Which field? Yankees Stadium or Citifield?

I've only seen the new stadium on television - I don't know what you can see from where - but the facade at the top bothers me because I'm used to it being lower.

There are seats that face the back of the scoreboard, but they have TVs in that area. I don't even remotely get that. If I want to watch it on TV, guess what?
ETA: and a beer in my house is free.
