No, you can't add to your post count in the chat room.

I just spilled some wine on my keyboard. Uh-oh.

How would ya like to be blind like me?

Rg, I thought you got your glasses back? Or is it the wine that is making you blind now? If that's the case, I am not far behind you. I am on my second crown & sprite....gonna be one of thooose nights!

Luckily my office is right beside my bedroom. I can crawl if I gotta!

Hey...the end of Rosemary's baby is on in the other room! I am a horror movie freak. I rarely watch them, but I will put them on for background noise. I think she's about to go look at the baby and freak out & stuff.

My glasses are STILL broken! I can see, but not that well. The wine is not making me blind, just clumsy.

Rg, you just need more. You stop being clumsy the more you drink.

Carole, ok. I have football on for background.

It is eleven o'clock. O my. I'm going to hit the hay soon. You girls have fun and keep it between the ditches. I'm going for wine tomorrw, you're all in trouble then.

I'm once again, enjoying the morning, sitting on my back porch drinking coffee, and laughing at all the posts I read that I missed. RG, Carole, and SC, you girls are just too funny.
While RGs typos can be blamed on lack of glasses, mine are because my fingers are numb. It's chilly here this morning. As soon as that sun hits though, I'll be sweating, so better enjoy it while it lasts.

Morning, Glories!

Story, I hope you had a fun day yesterday! We missed you here :)

lil miss firenice, you were a party poop last night! thbbbt! (he he)

*sending RG a braille message that says "howdy! Getting your glasses fixed today?"*

And now I am drinking coffee....trying to NOT think about the fact that hubby had to sleep on top of a flatbed trailer last night. He sounds like he is starting to get sick. He denies it, but you know how that goes.

And now I am blaring E.L.O. (REALLY showing my age!) and getting into the swing of packing. All hopped up on high-test foglifter coffee. Trying to finish up. Yes..I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! YAY!

Ok. Hubby called...he is heading into *no contact for who knows how long* territory. Somewhere in western Mississsippi along the coast. To say I am skeered...well, that doesn't cover it. First off the bat they have to try to keep a small installation on top of a casino boat from crashing down...it's gonna fall...they are just going to try to minimize the damage.

Gotta stay busy...gotta stay busy.

Really seething right now because I can't get anyone on the phone. I realize it's Sunday, but why don't these eyeglasses stores have RECORDED messages, telling you whether they will be open today or not and what the HOURS are! That's all I want to know. I even went online and could not find out what I want to know. One place tells where they are located, but not what the hours are. I already know where they are located! It is so frustrating. Not being able to wear my glasses is giving me a headache because I have to strain my eyes so much to see.

Thanks, Kevin, but I am afraid I have bad news.

My husband drove me a half hour away to Lens Crafters(the place that is supposed to be able to give you new glasses in an hour) and I walked out of there not being helped one little bit! I showed the woman my broken glasses. She looked at them and said we can't fix these. Then I said I wanted to get new frames and have them just pop my lenses into them. Do you think it can be as simple as that???? Oh no they can't do that. Do I have the prescription with me for them? No, of course not, why would I? they couldn't find any past info on me on their computer to go by because I haven't been there in a while. She tried to find a pair of frames that would match the shape of my other pair==couldn't find any. I had to walk out of there with broken glasses and no hope, no help, no suggestion of what to do. I can't believe the apathy. Where is that house of apathy?

That sounds like lazy crapola to me! I have had lenses completely reshaped to use in different frames. This was years ago, but you would think that the capability would still exist, right? Sorry for the pain in the wazoo, RG.

P.S. My least favorite grouping of words in the English language: Sorry, there's nothing I can do."

Right this very second? I am posting right here. Ten seconds ago? Rooting around in old TIO threads to find something - anything to 'change the subject'.

'What did you do today, dear?'

'I watched people writing about what people were writing about, sort of.'

'Sounds fascinating.'

'Oh, about like watching grass grow. You know, it's Sunday and all. The TV's busted, eh, beats washing walls.'

Right this very minute, I am trying to recover from my harrowing horse ride today. Horse hurt leg about 12 miles from our trailer and I had to get off and lead him through the woods alone, two hours later, he couldn't walk any further so I had to go to a farm and ask for help, the nice lady drove me to my trailer so I could come back for the horse. He's Ok, just a big old baby. Meanwhile, my body is sore from trekking across the wilds of Maryland. Total time soent doing this=5 hours.

Huh? It's functioned well here for over 76 pages. We've had enough turmoil here lately with the destruction of so many of our homes......mine never got off the ground. I only ate at Rg's restaurant once, leave it alone I say!

BTW...Rg...how goes the glasses dilemma?

You liked that comment to Dave, huh? He doesn't even want to get me started.

I am still blind.
