80's hair
80's porn...I knew one of the...er...um...actresses. She had a tendency to borrow our...er...lingerie before a shoot...or steal...depending upon the mood one was in when watching her latest....debut....only to discover...it was YOUR garments a certain hairy man was removing....

I had a few bonfires with lingerie as the kindling.

Oh.

TMI?

Yeah. I do that from time to time. It's being stuck in this farkin' country....tooooo much desert around me....waaaaaaaaaay too much time on my hands...

do I sound bitter?

I also liked much of the 70s clothing (ripped, well worn Levis; Daisy Dukes; crop tops; halter tops; etc.) but HATED 90s tabloids.

The choice between 80s porn and 70s disco is the tough one. I didn't watch 80s porn and didn't abide 70s disco so I have to vote, both of the above.

dunking doughnuts at Dunkin' Donuts
Pop culture cable networks shilling these songs and fads endlessly, then 15 years later doing "ironic" specials on what a bunch of dorks people were for following these fads and buying these songs, and featuring comedians outshouting each other to prove they're funnier than everybody else on the specials.

90's tabloids. Don't know about 80's porn, but I love 70's music and still have big 80-ish hair...

ETA - maybe 70's clothes. I'm just old enough to remember seeing polyester double-knit leisure suits...

I loved all of it. Every decade looks back and sees how stupid something about it was, but if you were having fun with it it was different. 80s hair was pretty bad though.

80s porn stands alone as the best ever made.

80's porn was horrible. All those hairy men... *shudders*

80's hair rocked. Bring on the AquaNet!

And don't you know 70's clothes are sort of back in style...it's called retro, baby, retro!

Not sure if that's true, but the actors certainly seemed more natural in appearance, and not so chemically altered within the flesh. And there didn't seem to be any problem filming men and women back then who weren't shaved or waxed to a hairless sheen, which seems standard today, as if body hair might get in the way of a good camera angle or something.

ETA: Cross-posted with Kristie. We're on the same path, only moving in opposite directions. :)

If you think they are, you need to check out some snapshots or clothing catalogs from the 70s. Polyester plaids, ruffly collars, leisure suits ... methinks reports of a 70s fashion redux are greatly exaggerated.

ET to add a couple:

Not that you'd have any first-hand knowledge...
