Maestro's book met with an accident

Because it was raining, I had Ray's book in a plastic bag so I could read it at work. I stopped for groceries and when I was getting them out of the trunk, I heard a plop beside me. I looked down, and to my horror I saw the book in a three inch deep puddle!

I snatched it and ran into the house, shouting for someone else to get the groceries while I tried to rescue the book. The cover was already curling. Waaaaaaahhhhhhh!

I have paper towels between the pages and I set it on a heating vent with a heavy book on top. Thankfully, Ray's signature didn't smudge.

I'm hoping it flattens again in a few hours.

LOL! Ray, I think it'll be okay. Really. The pages aren't curling anymore and your lovely nude picture is not smudged.

I won it on Book Roast due to my rapier wit. It looks as if it will recover from its little adventure. I snatched it from the puddle before it soaked through. Whew!

Yanno, the book plate idea gets better and better. I'd provide them for the three people who bought my book.
