Hi all,

An agent has asked me to write a proposal for my submission. I've researched it a little, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or helpful hints. It's freaking me out just a little bit!!!

Thanks!

Hi --

A good place to start: "Nonfiction Book Proposals Anybody can Write," by Elizabeth Lyon.

I have to say that writing a full proposal isn't a short and easy process. Among other things, you're expected to include sections on: your competition, your markets, production details and promotion. There's more. A lot more. It's work. Hard work. BOL.

Yeah, there seems to be a lot out there on Non-fiction proposals but not a lot on fiction, which is what I'm supposed to do. I may just email the agent and ask what they would like included.

Thanks for the info!
