I am doing a holiday club for 6 - 12 year olds in May. I have chosen the theme
"Making Movies". There is nothng out there so I am writing the whole thing myself. That is except the theme song who i will get someone else to do that. (Not my field!!)
What I would like is for your imput and suggestions, likes, don't like, etc. I want this to be a fantastic Holiday club program for the kids
Here is the outline:
Theme: Making Movies. From Creation to Salvation to becoming the Church.
I plan to video the Holiday Club since we are using the theme “Making Movies”. I have asked a local group of young film makers if they can help out with this.
Genre:
Day 1. Drama – A New Day. Creation & Adam and Eve .
Day 2. Comedy – Stuck in a Tree. Zacchaeus.
Day 3. Love – The Love Gift. Jesus on the cross.
Day 4. Scary – A Blinding Light. Paul’s Conversion.
Day 5. Action – All hands on Deck. The Empowered Church.
Time:
12:30 – 12:45 Prayer & Team Briefing.
12:45 – 1:15 Set up
1:15 – Let kids in & Registration
1:30 – 1:35 Intro - Welcome
1:35 – 1:45 Music Score - Worship –All together.
1:45 – 2:00 Shoot the Script - Bible Story & Application. – All together.
2:00 – 2:10 On the Red Carpet – Game.
2:10 – 2:25 Movie Trivia Quiz
2:25 – 2:35 Take 5 – Break/Snack Time.
2:35 – 2:55 Post Production – Small Group Time.
2:55 – 3:15 Concept Art – Craft. In small groups.
3:15 – 3:25 Check the Script – Memory Verse.
3:25 – 3:30 It’s a Wrap. All Together.
3:30 – 4:00 Clear Up.
Small Groups
The names of the small groups.
1) Stuntman
2) Oscars
3) Clapperboards
4) Lights
5) Camera
6) Action
Crafts
Make a moving picture/TV.
Make a mini clapperboard memory verse.
Make a “Movie Poster”. * Need pictures from Newspapers & Mags.
Make a “Storyboard” flick cartoon booklet.
Make an Oscar.
Also can you think of any thing for these? WHO?
Execitive Producer -
Director - The person in charge of running the Holiday Club.
Asst. Director - Small Group Leaders
Sound - The sound Techie guy.
DoP -
Editor -
Cast - The kids
Catering - Those serving the refreshments.
Any other important flim making bods I may have missed out?
Need a name for those doing registration?
