View Full Version : Harlem boy's choir still around?

In my novel, I was planning to have my MC, a singer, do a christmas performance with the Harlem Boy's choir. I initially thought that the choir was part of an actual school and to double check this fact, I looked up their website on the internet. It turns out that due to financial troubles a few years ago, the choir got kicked out of the school and then in 2007, the long-time director died. I then tried to search around to see if the choir even exists anymore, and all that I've come up with are a lot of very old concert dates. The website itself hasn't been updated since 2006 (before the director died). There is an alumni choir, but these singers are all much older and it wouldn't fit with my story. So, I'm wondering if anyone out there knows if the choir is still in existence?? Thanks for any info you can give me.

ahh-- forget this question. I think I see now that I shouldn't use real names, so I'll have to make up some kind of fake choir instead. Thanks anyway.
