You know how you feel when the Forum isn't here? That shake in your hands, the nausea in the pit of your belly... that clammy cold sweat on the back of your neck?

Well... get ready for it to be a regular occurrence!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

We've found the perfect torture method! :D

But seriously, folks... in order to prevent those 'Surprise Attacks',
as a preventive measure on Monday nights from now on,
the Water Cooler/AW Forum will be turned off for a while for maintenance.

Every Monday night at 11pm Pacific time, Mac will shut off the Forum.

We expect that, at the most, the forum will only be off for an hour or two
and y'all will be unable to do anything on the Forum during that time.

Once we've gone through the procedure a few times, we'll know better
how long it will take, and might even reduce it from every Monday...
but we'll keep you posted. ;)

Don't say we didn't warn ya!

I'm going to need pills.

Sure open the asylum doors and let the inmates out on their own. What could possibly go wrong?

I know... I know... it'll be traumatic for all of us. I mean... what if I were to, you know, wake up or something - in the middle of the Oklahoma night? And I couldn't get back to sleep?! There will be no AW to visit!

It's the Apocalypse, I tell ya. Things will never, ever be the same.

Should we establish a Candle Lighting service, maybe? We won't be able to log on, but we could all light a candle at the appropriate time and know we were all together in spirit...

Maintenance is a Good Thing. It can prevent 3-day outages. I will put out the garbage and prepare a nourishing bedtime snack while I download something large and interesting or do an intense web search. All of which I am likely to do on a Monday night anyhowl. If I'm not getting a keyboard facial by that time.

SO inconsiderate of those of us that are stranded on semi-tropical islands in the Pacific. What am I supposed to do when AW is down in the afternoon??? Write? Go to the beach? Take pictures of palm trees? GAH!

*sigh* It's always something, innit? Forcing us to actually, you know, do something, anything else other than hang out here? And for what? Logical, preventative maintenance? Geez, what will you people think of next? Helpful forums where writers can learn? Feedback areas? Resources?

Well, we'll just see how this evil plot plays out, won't we?

So... that might be a good time to visit one of the new sites I see popping up on this forum about dating. lol I mean, talk about equal opportunity....(anyone tried them yet?) (They even delete the bad ones.....cool)

Thank you for letting us have a heads up on this. It will be a good time to clean out the popper. Carry on.
