I hope that link works for you, because this is the most awesome thing ever. A flying car...that you can watch...take off.

The future is now.

Um ... I hate to burst your bubble, but in my estimation it's nothing but a road-worthy air plane capable of being taxied down a regular public road as a ground vehicle. But the ability of this glorified air plane thingy to take off and land is STILL limited to a regular airport where you STILL need an actual runway of old-fashioned small craft runway length.

And you will need a pilot's license to operate it off the ground.

Yeah, I suppose the way the wings fold up is kinda cool. And yeah, it has four car wheels and tires instead of just three little landing gear wheels and tires. But to me a TRUE flying car is a vehicle that needs no runway, and instead can become airborn right from your driveway.

(I know it. I'm picky.)

While it's cool, I just can't help but think: people can't handle driving in two dimensions... a third would only prove disastrous. But I'm a bit of a cynic.

I would like to see a video of the AIG executives giving back their bonuses.

Now that would be something to get excited about and restore my faith in humanity.
