Hi,

I had a request for a full, and I sent it out promptly. Is it okay to follow up a couple of weeks later just to make sure it was recieved?

How do I know the agent got it?

I know that standard advice to follow up is 1 - 2 months, sometimes more, but that usually refers to a "did you get a chance to read my stuff" followup.

I'm asking about a "did you get the stuff" follow up. Is it the same thing?

Yes, I always e-mail the next day but don't always expect a reply. The last agent never responded so I see that as a red flag. If they can't be bothered to reply w/ a simple yes or no re: a REDQUESTED full, then I'm not sure I want that person as my agent.

If it's a hard copy, I like to send Priorority mail (flat rate box) online so you get a del conf #. Good luck!

I'd often include a line when I sent the full saying something like "If you wouldn't mind just sending me a quick reply to this so I know you got it okay, I'd really appreciate it."

I don't think a single one ever failed to reply. Usually just "Got it!" and that was all but it was all I needed, so... :)
