$1365 - YEE HAW!!!

Hey freelancers!! I just had to say THANK YOU so much for giving me the courage to do this. I just had my first high-paying article published in Adventure Cycling. I knew they paid, but I had NO IDEA how much. When that check came, I was stunned beyond belief!! Now I'm excited about getting more queries out there and see what else I can find.

I'm still not convinced the article was based upon my
good writing though! I wrote about our family's trek on the DAlton Highway up in Alaska, which is known as a VERY difficult cycling route. The fact that we made it with two 10-year-olds makes it a very unique perspective on the road. So - did they accept the article because it was exceptionally well-written? Or was it because the journey itself was so unique? I'll never know, but I'll be pitching another article to them about Central America!

They did run two photographs and yes - they do pay for photos. But still - $1365 for one feature article is pretty damn good in my book!
