Just received letter from local arts press rejecting my YA fantasy novel. It made it to the second reading round, but now it's just a form letter saying how they get lots of manuscripts (I know, so what? is my current attitude) and obviously can't publish everything.
Ok, so I'm mature enough to accept that (no sniggers, please), but sympathy would help. I really wanted the local press to publish it.
However, I know the steps. I'm going to send it out to agents and select a publisher. I do have a second choice who were only second choice because of geographical distance.
It's a fun novel and will be accepted. It just needs to find the right home.
So, hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the post office we go.
Thanks for listening,
Jenny.
